I am absolutely loving the oversized hippy-glasses look at the moment. Although, I am still on the hunt for a perfect pair that doesn't make me look too bug-eyed... if possible. Maybe not. Until that day, I think it's fair I can remain a distant admirer!

Current Wants!

I can't wait until I invest in a new camera! Then I'll be able to take photos of outfits and such, which will make me a very happy gal indeed. My iPhone is my current camera, and it isn't the greatest quality or biggest onset of inspiration, to say the least!

I have my sights set on a Canon 60D... super excited :) In the meantime, here are a few items of clothing I am currently lusting after:

I'm lusting after too many things. Trust me, this is just a very small taste of the things I desire. Sigh! And I am aware that the majority of the things on display here (cough-michaelkorswatch-cough) are like, so 2012, but it doesn't change the fact that I still crave them! Those Balenciaga cutout boots I probably just have to accept as a long-distance relationship. Same with that Proenza bag... I guess I'll just go find my corner to cry over them from afar now.

Just a Little Girl Crush...

And I present to you a totally non-creepy collage of one of my favourite "it" girls: Alexa Chung. She is absolute perfection in my eyes! She has been one of my fashion idols for some time now. I swear she could wear a potato sack and make it seem stylish and cool! She reminds me of a friend of mine who can walk straight into a second-hand store and pick out about 10 different seemingly-average items of clothing, and make them look incredible. I, on the other hand, manage to only find stained white bowling suits from the 80s. What gives?

My New Babies!

The newest additions to my shoe family! May I introduce to you the Zomg Platform Sneaker by JC Play by Jeffrey Campbell, and the Rum Moto Boot, also by Jeffrey Campbell. I am in love with them both! I'm partial to the platform sneakers though, not only because of their current fluorescent white condition which I'm enjoying for this summer, but because of the wonderful height! 1.85" just in the sole, baby. I will point out that this height is most welcome because I'm a bit of a shortie. Whilst the Rum Moto boot has a nice heel on it, the sneakers will help me out more on a day-to-day basis. Living in Australia, I have to be prepared to run and flee at all times in case of boxing kangaroos or giant spiders decked out in helmets and knee-pads.

(Note: I did happen to wear the JC sneakers yesterday to brunch, but I was running late when my friend came to pick me up and didn't have a chance to grab any socks or put the shoes on until I was in the car. Low and behold, 5 minutes of walking in them I was in mass amounts of pain, and I now have a giant crater where part of my heel used to be (TMI? Sorry!). Always, always, remember socks. Socks are your friends!)

Dreaming of a Chilled Summer's Day...

This is what I envision wearing on a stinking hot summer's day like today; just some chilled basics! A white floaty dress, comfortable shoes, eye protection and an easy-carry bucket bag to fit the necessities (although if there's a designer out there who can create a bag in which icy-poles can survive, that'd be ideal). I'd whack some Barry M lipgloss in coral on my lips and I'd be set!
